Step 1: Precise patient selection for their own safety

Before confirming a patient for plastic surgery, we gather as much information as possible about their health, previous surgeries, wishes, and expectations. We are unable to approve around 10% of candidates for surgery due to safety concerns, health issues, or expectations that cannot be met. Gathered information helps us to adjust aftercare to the individual needs and ensure an even smoother recovery process for a patient.

Step 2: Explaining aftercare

The healing period and post-op care are as important as the surgery itself. You can start preparing for this part of the journey even before the surgery. We have prepared educational videos that will provide more information about complications and aftercare, to help you make this period as smooth and successful as possible.

Step 4: Explaining revision surgery policy

All patients get familiarised with and agree to our revision policy when securing their surgery date with a deposit payment. We want you to make the most informed decisions when considering plastic surgery. For this reason we have prepared short videos with surgeons’ comments answering the most asked revision questions explain what is and what is not considered revision at our clinic and why.

Step 5: Things we do to minimise the risk of complications

In the operating theatre, our team not only follows stringent protocols but also employs additional tools to minimise the risk of complications, for example: additionally prepares the patient’s skin with antiseptic solutions, applies compression therapy already in the operating room, uses intermittent compression leg therapy during the surgery to reduce the likelihood of deep vein thrombosis and the associated risk of postoperative pulmonary embolism, warms up the infiltrating fluids to body temperature, uses a mattress for the prevention of bedsores.

Step 6: Accommodation with medical care

Apartments, supervised by our clinic, have an exclusive feature – additional medical care (the nurse visits a patient once a day after discharge from the clinic), which is not possible while staying in other accommodation. The apartments are located right next to our clinic, in the same building (1 min by foot).

Step 7: Hyperbaric oxygen therapy

Nordesthetics is one of the few private clinics in the Baltic states that can offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It provides a way to deliver more oxygen to the tissues and cells that need it most. This extra oxygen can speed up healing, reduce swelling, and promote the growth of new blood vessels and healthy tissue. It can also help decrease the risk of infection by boosting the body’s natural defence mechanisms.

Step 8: 5-7 days in Lithuania after surgery

We strongly recommend staying in Lithuania for at least 5-7 days after surgery. We would like to be there for you in case of any early postoperative complications, or simply to provide you with any help you may need with pain management, swelling, or wound care. Also, we would like to arrange at least one post-operative check-up along with a tape change for you after surgery to discuss postoperative wound care and make sure that you know how to treat the operated areas once you are at home.

Step 9: Free additional hospitalization if needed

Patients’ health and well-being are our top priorities. All of our patients spend 1-2 nights at the clinic after their surgery and then are transferred to the clinic’s apartments or other accommodation of patients’ choice. However, in very rare cases when a patient requires extended medical attention, we do provide additional hospitalization for free.

Step 10: Manual lymphatic drainage massages

Lymph drainage massages after plastic surgery are gentle and specialized massages designed to help the body’s lymphatic system work better and reduce swelling or fluid buildup that can occur after surgery. You get 2 lymph drainage massages for free after your surgery and can buy additional ones as well as purchase them in the UK and Ireland by using our Aftercare package.

Step 12: Your aftercare evaluation
